On Untrodden WaysI have found that when I sink into the buried tremors of myself, the suffering and the beauty arise as twins, and they are equally as excruciating, equally as sacred.

About Lise
One day Lise Liddell closed the door of her office at a Houston bank and cried. A colleague walked in and told her it was time to quit, and she did.
She had an MBA from the University of Texas and a career her father approved of. She traded it for a Houston theater company, a guitar, and wine bars and beer joints. The Houston Chronicle later praised her “pure, silvery voice.”
Her latest album, Untrodden Ways, includes songs written with Mark Hallman and Andre Moran. One sets a 1798 Wordsworth poem to music.
Her father recited poetry to his three children whether they wanted it or not. She writes her own now, along with essays. The music and the writing on this site are free.
